How a Valorant series is built
A Valorant map is first to 13 rounds. If it reaches 12-12, overtime begins and the map runs on until one team leads by two rounds. Sides swap between attack and defence after 12 rounds. A match is then a set of maps: best-of-one, best-of-three or best-of-five.

Every price you see is built on that table. A best-of-three favourite who wins the first map is one map from the win, and the live price shrinks accordingly.
Match winner: the base price
The match winner market asks one question: which team takes the series. Say Team A is priced at 1.90 and Team B at 1.90. Divide 1 by 1.90 and you get about 52.6 percent for each side, a total of 105.3 percent. The extra 5.3 points is the bookmaker’s margin.
- Take the decimal price, for example 1.90.
- Divide 1 by it: 1 / 1.90 = 0.526.
- Add both sides together to see the margin.

Map handicap: giving and taking maps
A map handicap starts the series with a head start or a deficit. Say the favourite is -1.5 maps at 2.40 in a best-of-three. That bet wins only on a 2-0 sweep, which is why the price is longer than the plain match winner. The underdog at +1.5 wins the bet if they take at least one map, even in a series loss.

Half-map lines like 1.5 never push, so a stake is always won or lost.
Round totals: over and under on a single map
A round total sets a line, for example 24.5, and you pick over or under the number of rounds played on a chosen map. The shortest possible map is 13 rounds (13-0) and a standard finish is 13-11, which is 24 rounds. Overtime is why over 24.5 stays alive: at 12-12 the map cannot finish before round 26 in the usual overtime format.
Say over 24.5 is 1.95 and under 24.5 is 1.85. Under wins on any score where the loser has 11 rounds or fewer. Over wins when the loser reaches 12 or more, which includes every overtime map.
You back a map total, but the match is a 2-0 and the third map never starts.
