Here the key difference lies between a PAGCOR operator licence and a PAGCOR EGLD listing. PAGCOR has approved a studio’s game content for use by the operators it licenses, and that is what an EGLD listing means. It is no licence in the studio’s hands, and it says nothing regarding any casino that carries those games.

To check a Malta licence, search the MGA authorisation portal under the company name, not the brand name. Licences are often held under a differently named subsidiary: Pragmatic Play’s Malta licence sits with Pragmatic Solutions MT Limited and not with anything called Pragmatic Play.
To check a UK licence, look it up by account number in the Gambling Commission public register. On the same record as an active licence you will see its activities with start dates, plus any regulatory settlement against the holder.
